This is our most-viewed photo on Flickr and most blogged on Tumblr. It’s so good we had to blog it again.
Huge props to San Diego Zoo Global photographer Ken Bohn
Tracing the outlines of objects with my nose,
Just so I really know where the edge of one thing ends and another begins.
Here you will find two twins, identical letters of differing sizes,
Larger, smaller, shrinking centers of circles among other depth cues
That let us know where we stand in…
ohhh gosh this is one of my favorites and i love that he knew it had to be worded just right he knew it was gonna be a zinger
these felicities are the true ones. there is no joy outside of these joys. to love, that is the only ecstasy. everything else weeps.
to love or have loved, that will do. ask for nothing after that. there is no other pearl to find in the dark folds of life. to love is an accomplishment.

This is my project’s video. I am very passionate about this project because I am a youth and have lived in an ecovillage and it was essential to my personal development, and I want to share this experience with other youth. So we are trying to create a youth exchange.
So there are only FIVE days left before the campaign ends. And we still need 1500 dollars before we would be able to get ANY funding at all.
If you could help us by donating a few dollars and reblogging this, we could get to our goal and get funding in no time!
And I would love you forever.
Ecorasmus Connecting Youth across Europe in Ecovillages!!
I am very passionate about this because I am a youth living in an ecovillage, and have matured so much since I have been here, I want to make it easier for other youth to experience these magical places. Please donate to our project to make this journey a reality!!
I recently attended a conference in Egypt about Global Ecovillage Network Africa.
After seeing all the people from all over Africa who had such great projects and so much passion…I have come to a certain conclusion.
A big shift in energy has occurred in multiple respects.
One of these is focus being on the Northern Hemisphere to the Southern, where many of the ‘underdeveloped’ countries lie. Come to find out, these countries actually have it better off than the more ‘developed’ countries. They still have their communities and are very resilient to whole-system shut downs. They actually still grow their own food.
These communities, which are a traditional form of ecovillages (Ecovillages are intentional communities with the goal of becoming more socially, economically and ecologically sustainable), hold the secrets to knowledge, wisdom, and happiness for our future communities.
In my opinion, places like Africa and South America will hold the focus for future generations. As opposed to what life has come to in the Northern Hemisphere, one ruled by corporations and money, these places still have their basic values of community and trust. They will be who we look to as examples of the life that is possible, one of satisfaction and happiness. Their stories are extremely inspiring and screaming out to be shared…as we will soon see.
